FOR 4 GENERATIONS
Marie Antoinette Amand de Mendieta de Bonhome and Gabriel de Halleux Desclee crossed the Atlantic and then the Pampa to reach the Valley of Chile Chico. In the valley near the great lake, they built a house where they could pursue their dreams.
Their eleven children grew up among the poplars and the Patagonian winds. Two generations later, the house still stands as a testament to the history of the settlers, who left their Belgian homeland for this place. Now, we continue the pioneer dream. The earth, the ancient trees, and the wind are still here, offering you hospitality.

When we started our family, we decided to continue the tradition of hospitality begun by our grandparents. Gabriel de Halleux Desclee, Marie Antoinette Armand de Mendieta, and their eleven children arrived in the valley in 1949.
In 1992 we transformed the house they built into an inn. Since then, we have invited our guests to share in the stories, secrets, and attractions of the region.
Every year, the harvest of alfalfa and hops brings life to the pastures surrounding the ancient poplar grove.
